7th Mode

256 years ago Mode 7 suddenly without warning vanished. A population of millions disappeared with no obvious reason why. In the hundreds of years society has collapsed and exists as pockets of cultures ranging from nomadic hunter-gatherers to space faring fleets. However as of late, lost technologies from before the collapse have been rediscovered, objects and pockets of data from Mode 7 have been re-appearing as trash or space-junk.

• Xominual Empire, a large system of ships and space stations, they act as a direct continuation of the Mode 1 government with some of the original advisors still being alive and operating under the command of General Zeiyhar.
• Group 7 Modian Isles, a reconstructed group comprised of Volunteers and the descendants of the original Group 7. They convene in Mode 0 or at one of the Modian Isles to talk and share resources. They control the towns of Zanius and Staunton. They have a small teleportation nexus within their islands with most of them being defunct due to the sanctuaries being corrupted or destroyed.

• Cassie, A upbeat collie that works as a Xominual Empire conscript in Mode 1, spending most of her off time partying.
• Galax Vulpine, A headstrong angel fox with no memories who woke up on the shores of an Isle in Mode 4.
• Nitenit, A magically alive plush who is Galax Vulpine's roommate who is constantly stressed about himself unintentionally using magic to shift through realities.
• Nathandrix Whittaker, rat skater boy who talks with Wally occassionally despite the hatred between the families
• Velinis Whittaker, a quiet woman who is away from Brokenhill Isle most of the time to gather supplies to build structures and to find valuable materials. Is seeing Pearl despite their parent's hating the Hornbeckers.
• Wally Hornbecker, digitgrade cat who fled from his home with his sister after a unspecified incident.
• Pearl Hornbecker, Wally's Sister, quiet with one eye secretly dating Velinis.
• Stumblepaw, Part of the rustbucket's medical corps, he has wobbly cat syndrome and wears an plaid bandana, goes on sailing for herbs...
• Sat/Sattie, A reserved and stressed AI who controls the inner workings of a floating civilization in Mode 6.
• Zellow Darton, a shapeshifting dragon who owns a local shop who has more going on than he lets people know.
