Was working on making a cover of one of my favorite chiptune songs while simulationiously having a panic attack due to not being on the same skill level of the artist due to not being able to recreate the intro when something popped into my head. Why do I like old shit so much? My favorite artists were either adults composing on these hardware or grew up using the same systems which I am the second part but in a different manner. People give redditors a lot of flac for being like "oh i'm gonna show my kids the shit I played with in my twenties" I kinda have a news flash for people like them... Those people have always existed. How do I know? My father was one of those people in the 2000s. He was basically the one who introduced me to all this ms-dos shit and even brought out the NES and SNES cartridges he had in his 20s out. I have really fucking fond memories of that. Thinking back another reason why I used such old shit back then was mostly because of poverty, which is a really good reason to be playing lego island and trying to find games that wont strain the cheapest XP machine you could find. That's honestly half of the reason I played older games, we didn't really have any newer games because they were too expensive and when we did get a new game we always got something that would be replayable like Little Big Planet. I really didn't even start playing any FPS games until around 2008ish which I got really into doom, half-life and subsequently garry's mod. This is mostly just a rambling post on good memories and how time passes too fast.
I got a kitty cat named Jack! He's a follower and a cuddler. I love him so much, He has a tail plume and a missing left eye with a tux patteron on him. He's adjusting pretty well to the house and very quicky, he also likes some of the music I like. He fell asleep and got very calm listening to Plantasia.
